Exercise is most definitely NOT recommended on the day of removal, or even several days after removal.
One must understand that a large tooth has been ripped, yanked, pulled, possibly even drilled and sawed at in order for it to be removed. Keep in mind the several incisions to the gums, and the giant hole that gets left behind that needs to close up. Exercise will raise the heart rate and not allow blood to properly heal all the damage.
For someone who is always on the move and loves to exercise everyday, it can be hard to stay at home and rest, but rest and sleep and proper care and attention at home is NECESSARY for it to heal properly. You have to listen to your body in order to begin exercising.
For example, I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed on a monday morning, and by Friday afternoon I felt personally that I could exercise. (Just no exercise that required jerking or swinging of my head, because of pressure and slight discomfort and stiffness in my jaw). BUT, I was lucky because I had minimal swelling (I didn't even look like a chipmunk like most people look like) and I happened to heal fast.
Put simply, after about a week and a half or so of healing, or when you aren't in much pain without medication; go see your doctor and ask them if it is alright to perform exercises.

Cysts and tumours: In rare cases, cysts or tumours may develop around wisdom teeth. Gum disease: Wisdom teeth can be difficult to clean, increasing the risk of gum disease.
