I wasn't allowed to donate blood within 30 days of taking toprol.
Consult a doctor, do not self medicate.
no. toprol is a beta blocker
can you give Blood if you take atenolol
YES ! After being on Toprol XL for almost a decade, neuropathy in my hands and feet was so severe it was incapacitating. I could not even sleep from the pain ! Three days off Toprol (I have a smart doctor) and I am fine, working and back to normal activities. On another blood pressure med now and feeling fine. It is a miracle.

Toprol-XL is merely an extended-release version of the same drug as is found in Lopressor.
In Roman numerals, XL would be 40. Toprol-XL is a prescription drug (metoprolol succinate) for the treatment of high blood pressure. The XL may imply that it was the 40th batch in a batch test, or that it was the 40th revision to the drug, but it may simply be an abbreviation of "excel".
Ill give you all the information. First the doctor will use a needle to take some blood from you. Then they will give it to a medical hospital/centre for them to check. this process will probably take up to a week or more, then they will format the info on to a file and give you the results!
yeah the question is would u take blood from a rastafarian ????? As I understand it part of the Rastafarian culture is smoking marijuana, if this is the case than no. Someone who does drugs can not give blood.
Toprol-XL is a trade name for metoprolol succinate, an antihypertensive beta-blocker. It blocks sympathetic response (fight or flight) in the CNS, reducing BP and cardiac output.
NO you cant not, XR once a day dosing, very common mistakes from PCP and Internal medicine docs and pharmacists as well .
