YES they do, but cockroaches normally only go after the immobile (i.e. something sleeping or dead) and they are omnivores. It is quite common for them to nibble on the sores of an animal while it's sleeping. While cockroaches do not transmit diseases directly through a bite, as mosquitos do, the germs that they've been exposed to may cause infection or worse. Washing up the bitten area is normally all you need to do since cockroach bites rarely break the skin of a human, except in the case of small children and infants.
