It all depends on what rank of work you are doing. If you are just a construction worker generally you get paid less then a doctor.

The question should be - Do construction workers get paid more than doctors? and the answer is - generally no, but it is possible if you are comparing someone who is the owner of a construction company that builds skyscrapers in New York City with a small town doctor in a rural depressed area such as Oakridge Oregon - (if they even have a doctor.) It also depends on what country you want the answer in. However, typically construction workers make good money to support a family if the economy is good and people are building houses. Right now it is a bad field to go into in America, because building is way down.
