It dépends, if the victim is thirsty and able to drink alone, give him or her a glass of water.

When doing first aid, be logical : if the victim is conscious, he feels where it hurts, what he needs. The victim will place himself in a comfurtable position. Do not take decision for him (or her). For example, a victim has a heart attack, he or she may need a particular drug, if he (or she) asks you to find the pills, give them to him but do not help him (or her) to have it.

The most important you can do is to call for a medical assistance, and to protect the victim (and yourself) from any danger.

Of course, learning cardiac massage, and assited ventilation could be helpful when someone is uncounscious. But, it will never be repeated enough : the first thing to do is to call.
