Well I'm 10 and five days ago I got two cavities filled on the right side of my mouth. iT WAS THE EASIEST THING EVER!!! The only thing I was afraid of was getting the novacain shot, and I shouldn't have been. Before your dentist gives you the injection, ask him to put a little bit of numbing cream or gel, on your gum. When he actually gives you the shot, you WILL NOT FEEL A THING!!! The only thing you will feel is a little bit of water on your mouth.... The only thing that may be a little achey is keepin your mouth open while the dentist "drills" Ps. It's not actually a drill, it's a little tube that blows really strong air and cold water onto your teeth... The only thing to watch out for would be not to eat for a little bit after you get it filled. It's not bad for your tooth, it's just that you might bite your lip REALLY hard and not notice it ( I did it a million times and now my mouth still really hurts) GOOD LUCK. :)

The answer from the dental community has been "Not Much". There is no conclusive evidence that the amount of Mercury contained in a dental filling can hurt you. You should know that they are not comprised entirely of Mercury and the substance is referred to as amalgam. There are alternatives to Mercury amalgam fillings and you should ask you dentist if these are available if your concern is that great.

A savory filling is a filling like meat, not a sweet filling. well in the pastry and pie world. I don't think that's a dental term.

Dental wax or temporary dental cement can be used to temporarily hold a filling in place until you can see a dentist for a permanent restoration. These materials are readily available at most drugstores.
not really, but they have to numb your mouth first & that hurts
