the best of all is consult a dermatologists, not only putting foundations etc.In that way your problem about pimples makes worse, so it is better to consult a dermatologist to be 100% sure. No foundation, just a flawless and beautiful face.
but, if you want to temporarely get rid of it while waiting for your dermatoligist, i suggest using mineral foundation. The minerals in it is better for your skin and wont clog your pours as much. get a foundation that is one shade lighter than your natural skin tone, it blends in better. :-)
Mineral foundation is the worst to cover pimples. Mineral foundation is primarily mica powder. Mica powder has a slight shimmer to it. With that being said, it reflects light and will make your blemishes/bumps more noticeable. Any foundation you choose should match your skin tone perfectly. Going too light or too dark will look unnatural. To cover pimples, use a green concealer to neutralize the redness. Pat it with you finger to blend it out. Then go over it with a concealer. Again pat it with your finger to blend it. If you rub it in, you're just removing what you've just applied. Go over this with your favorite foundation and lightly dust with a translucent setting powder.
Be sure to remove your makeup every night. I always wash my face twice at night. The first time removes the makeup and the second time really cleanses the skin. Also exfoliate at least twice a week and use a mud mask at least once a week.
There are several brands of facial cosmetics specifically designed to cover blemishes, scars etc., but it is also important to prepare the skin properly so that the makeup does not make the blemishes worse.
