I have really bad dry skin on my hands. I started to get slits, and I seemed to be bleeding all the time. Very bad. I finally found an extremely quick cure. Every night before you go to bed, put on some hand lotion that is specifically desgined for dry skin. Let that sink in for a couple of minutes. Next, use lanolin. It is meant for breastfeeding, but it will work wonders for all dry skin. Put a layer of the lanolin wherever your dry skin is. And finally, wear gloves to bed. After 4 nights, my hands were perfect. At the beginning, I recommend doing this every night. Once it gets better, you won't have to do it as often, especially in the summer. If you decide to just stop, it's possible that it will come back, but you can just do it as needed.
You can also switch to a soap that contains aloe. I use a popular liquid soap that contains aloe in the bathroom and that helps a lot, even though my kitchen soap is ordinary dishwahing liquid.
No, but hand cream can.

Hot water depletes the skin of natural oils faster than cold or tepid water. This can result in dry, cracked or peeling hands and other health problems related to dry hands and skin.
I always use 'Jerkins' moisturiser. and just use it for a week or so. If its cold out make sure you use gloves.... it may prevent the dry skin.
To fix cracked air dry clay, you can try moistening the cracked area with water and gently smoothing it out with your fingers or a damp sponge. Allow the clay to dry completely before painting or decorating it.
it can't get better if it's cracked or decayed. If the nerve is insulted by either trauma or decay it may heal.
Some might say it's from a cow being "over-milked," which wouldn't be the case of all, but from the skin on the teats getting dry and cracked, much like if your hands or feet get dry from being subject to too much water or dried out too quickly. When they get cracked, they start to bleed a little, and naturally scabs form to cover these cracks and heal them. Of course, with cows having to be milked regularly, the producer or hired hand caring for these cows need to address this problem by putting a kind of lotion suitable for udders to help both heal these "wounds," and moisturize the skin on the udder.
