Your question is a good one. I have continued swelling and am 6 months post op. I wear compression hose and use a compression machine, and keep my leg elevated. I have been told I may have lymphadema. Of course the surgeon says nothing is wrong it will just take time. I can't seems to get a straight answer. You can try the above and it may help unless of course you had recent surgery. Good luck
