Energy in the body is modified for optimal balance during acupressure. It is never released, perhaps a better word for it is dispersed. This is done by holding a specific point with more pressure and a longer period of time so its blocked energy gets dispersed, dissipated. The old term for it was sedation. Its opposite is called tonification. And this is done with less pressure for a shorter period of time to energize the point.
You can do acupressure all over your body to yourself. You can rub your feet, your hands and your head.
Acupressure is easy to learn, and there are many good books that illustrate the position of acupoints and meridians on the body.
Digestion is necessary because for energy from the food to be released and carried into the cells in our body the food must be broken down into soluble molecules for it to diffuse into the cells. Then energy is released during respiration.
In acupressure, the same points on the body are used as in acupuncture, but are stimulated with finger pressure instead of needles.
Yes, for ex. thermal energy.

breaks down the food and releases oxygen and glucose.
Shiatsu and acupressure are forms of Asian Bodywork Therapy. They use pressure, stretching, and other manipulations to relieve stress and pain and to promote health. The difference between acupressure and shiatsu is that in acupressure you focus on a point or series of points to correct energy flow. This is done also in shiatsu, but there is an emphasis in balancing the interaction of the energetic flow in the meridian system. Shiatsu uses stretches to balance meridians as well.
In Eastern medicine, life energy is considered to run through the body in lines called meridians. Along these lines are particular points (tsubo) which are believed to control the flow and balance of energy and can be manipulated beneficially by the insertion of needles (acupuncture) or less invasively using finger pressure (acupressure). The Japanese name 'shiatsu' literally means 'finger pressure'
acupressurist will gently feel and palpate the abdomen and other parts of the body to determine energy imbalances. Then, the therapist will work with different meridians throughout the body, depending on which organs are imbalanced in the abdomen
most of the acupressure points are located on the extremities of body e.g. hands n soles of legs.they are nothing but nerve endings or referral points thanx
The energy released during respiration is used by animals for various essential processes such as movement, maintaining body temperature, growth, and reproduction. In each cell, this energy is stored in the form of ATP and is utilized for carrying out daily metabolic activities.
