Restylane (Medicis) and Juvederm (Allergan) are laboratory made products. They consist hyaluronic acid (HA) which is naturally occurring substance in your skin. They are used to refill the lost volume of the face and gives a youthful look.

When you use Restylane and Juvederm, it normally lasts for 4-6 months depending upon the body area under treatment, your skin type and techniques used for injecting the fillers.

Juvederm Ultra Plus and Perlane are thick fillers so their effect can last upto 6-9 months.

Is juvederm better than restylane for lip augmentation?

As a cosmetic injection specialist, I work with fillers all the time and I do lip augmentation on a daily basis. I think that Juvederm is better than Restylane for lip injections. I have used both and in my hands, Juvederm gives smoother and longer lasting results. The newest formulation of Juvederm (XC) has lidocaine already mixed in, so the pain of the procedure is significantly less. I was doing numbing dental block injections for all of my lip augmentation patients, but now numbing cream is all that most people need. However, the most important thing in your decision about where to go for lip augmentation is not what is being used but who is doing the injecting. There are plenty of specialists who get excellent results with Restylane because that is the product they are used to and they like. Seek out a qualified, experienced specialist injector. Ask the office staff directly about what the doctor does. If he or she is doing laser and surgical rhinoplasty and breast augmentation and facelifts and liposuction and filler injections, then that is a doctor who may be spreading him or herself kind of thin. No-one can be a master at everything, so seek out those who are really focused on the procedure you are looking for.

If you have fillers and Botox in your face can you use electric micro facial toning treatments in conjunction with Juvederm and Botox without reversing the effects of the Juvederm or Botox?

Yes, you can use electric micro facial toning treatments in conjunction with Juvederm and Botox without reversing their effects. These treatments primarily aim to enhance muscle tone and skin appearance, and they do not interfere with the fillers or Botox. However, it's important to consult with your healthcare provider to ensure that the timing and techniques used are appropriate for your specific situation. Always follow their recommendations to ensure optimal results.

How much do lip fillers cost?

The cost of lip fillers can vary widely depending on several factors: Type of Filler: Different lip fillers, such as hyaluronic acid-based fillers (e.g., Juvederm, Restylane), may have varying prices. Premium fillers may cost more. Provider's Experience: Experienced injectors or board-certified professionals may charge higher fees for their expertise and precision. Location: The cost of lip fillers can differ by region, with larger cities or areas with a higher cost of living typically having higher prices. Why does injecting botox into a superfical facial muscle reduces the appearance of deep facial wrinkles?

The areas where Botox Cosmetic is generally used are just outside the orbital rim (for crows feet), the forehead and the glabella (between the brows). These injections effectively relax those muscles which cause wrinkling, whether fine lines or wrinkles. Nasal labial folds, a deeper wrinkle, if you will, are not treated with Botox as this is not a muscle related problem, but are filled with dermal fillers such as Radiesse or Juvederm. A medical professional would guide you as to what treatment works best for each type of aging symptom. For more information: http://www.agelessremediesalpharetta.com/botox-Alpharetta

Can you self-inject dermal fillers or botox?

Theoretically yes, though only a trained professional (dermatologist, plastic surgeon, etc.) should do so. They have legal ways of obtaining the fillers (Juvaderm, Restylane, etc.) and Botox. If one was to buy dermal fillers or Botox off the "black market" or any other unauthorized source, there is a great chance that they aren't the real thing. People have caused serious permanent scarring and disfigurement to their faces trying to do "at home" procedures. With Botox, if you were to inject some, say in the corners of your mouth, and you used too much, you could end up drooling for the next four months. I recently had Radiesse (dermal filler) injected into my face, and while the price can be extremely high, I would never think of doing it myself. It takes a trained eye and skilled hands to inject the filler. After the filler is injected, they position it under the skin to gain the desired effect. Depending on what is being treated determines how deep into the dermal layer the filler is injected into. There are strategic places to put fillers for different outcomes and if not done properly, you could have uneven or even lumpy results. You also need to be able to properly numb the area or you'd be in a whole world of pain. I live in Northwestern PA, and a large syringe of Radiesse cost me $600 for the first syringe and $500 for the second. They were running a special, so I ended up with a total of $1000. Radiesse gives the face a natural look and stimulates collagen production. I am only 29, though I started noticing smile lines on either side of my nose and my eyes tended to look tired. In my profession, I see a lot of people every day and I felt getting the procedure done would make me feel as confident on the outside as I was inside. Radiesse is supposed to last for 9 months to a year, though everyone is different, not to mention some areas of the face will reabsorb the filler quicker than others. I plan on going back in about 9 months to see if I need a touch up. I'm not too thrilled with the expense, but the peace of mind it brings me is well worth it.
