A pierced belly closes quickly if you have not worn a ring consistently for about a year. If the hole closes, it may just be partially closed and it can be "punched" out again easily.

Should you close your belly piercing before getting it repierced?

Why would you need to repierce it if it hasn't closed? If it's too shallow or crooked, yes, close it up. You don't want the new piercing hole and the old one to meet and tear to form a single hole.

It's not puss, your second piercing has bisected the first piercing and that is lymphatic matter "discharge" from the second piercing exiting our the first piercing location. Don't worry about it, it will heal up just fine just keep to your normal aftercare routine and all should be fine.

Once the piercing has started to reject it's a done deal, remove the jewellery and allow it to settle down usually a few weeks before having it repierced.
