It all depends on the amount of exercise you do each day. If you work out for about an hour 7 days a week, then I'd suggest around 2000 HEALTHY calories (make sure to include a good balance of protein, fruits and veggies, and carbs).

The depends *heavily* on the size and weight of the person and type of activity the athelete is engaging in. For example only, a 25 year old male weighing 200 lbs engaging in daily heavy exercise may need over 3000 calories per day.

An athletic teenager can easily consume 2,000 to 2,500 calories a day without gaining weight. Most of these calories should come from protein and complex carbohydrates in order to be healthy.

if your a teen athlete and your still growing you don't need to worry about calories because your burning them off by being athletic.
