ANSWER Payment arrangements for medical bills have gotten tricky. Many hospitals now use collection agencies. Most will work with you. Say you owe $12,000.00. If you agree to pay $100.00 per month, they pretty much leave you alone because they're getting something on a regular basis. HOWEVER if you miss one or two months, they consider you in default and will persue you like crazy. So if you make a payment schedule, make sure it's one you can STICK TO and never miss a payment.
