With any plastic surgery procedure, like most medical procedures, age can alter the ability for a successful surgery, but it does not guarantee it. The patient in question would need to consult with their General Practitioner AND the Plastic Surgeon to determine if they are healthy for it. The biggest thing to consider is the patients cardiovascular health, blood clotting, etc.

If determined that the patient can receive the surgery, Liposuction could benefit the person's life by allowing their older body, heart and joints a little relief from that unnecessary weight.

Liposuction is risky at any age and as you get older it does become more risky. Your best bet would be to try a strict diet and excersise program.
