On the average about 2-3 weeks to fully regenerate. It is gradual to the point you will hardly tell. Gums have the capacity to heal quicky. Anywhere from a month to a year, depending on your body and the procedure that was done.

If the tooth was erupted through the gums before extraction, it may take a few weeks to fill-in with bone and gum tissue. If the tooth was impacted, it may take less time to heal if the gum tissue was sutured back over the opening after the extraction. However, if your suture came out early of if you developed a dry socket it may also take a few weeks to fill-in. You must know that there are very many other factors that influence your healing rate. Age, nutrition, hygiene, and smoking all can have an effect on healing time.
