If you have seen a doctor first and know that you don't need medical attention, you can use homeopathic remedies and preventatives with caution. Remember, homeopathic products are not FDA regulated and their content and claims cannot be guaranteed. Many herbal supplements and remedies have been found to contain inconsistent quantities or none at all of the listed ingredients. Further, the sources of herbal supplements are sometimes incorrectly stated; some have been found to come from unregulated processing facilities and have contained harmful contaminants. The final caution is to know what a safe level of intake of a substance is; even all natural, herbal substances can be toxic or lethal if taken in the wrong quantities or combinations. Even my own medical doctor has recommended supplements which I take, but only in the recommended quantities.
