Mydaughter was born with Global Developmental delay. I didn't find this out till she was 10 months old. I knew something was wrong at about 5 months. She wasn't rolling over or trying to sit or even holding her head up all the way. I talked to her Dr. but he wanted to wait till she was 10 months to give her time because all kids grow at there pace. I found her another Dr. who sent her to a Neurologist in NO, LA. They both did a lot of test on her and came up with GDD. She don't have anything wrong with her brain it is all week mussels. We aren't done doing test. Started Physical therapy at 11 months, Occupational therapy at 14 months and Speech therapy at about 20 months. Now she is 2 1/2 and came a long way. She has never been able to crawl but does scoots on right leg and the left leg and arm pulls her through. (she scraps he left leg up all the time) She can only say 2 words ( da da & by by) but don't know when to use them. Like, her daddy is da da. She's not walking or feeding her self with a spoon yet but we are working on it. She don't know how to play with toys or go through a book without putting it in her mouth or play with others. (She has 4 older brothers that plays with her all the time.) Doctors can't tell me when she will start doing something or when she will be normal because kids with GDD grows at there own pace. It depends on when they can do it. There are different levels. So really no answers to give a person with a child that has GDD.
