A fit or seizure is a misfire of the electrical impulses of the brain, which causes the body to convulse (fit) uncontrollably, and usually fall unconscious. This is most common in epileptics, which is a blanket term used to describe the condition where seizures occur as a result of a neurological disorder.

Fits can ofcourse be caused by means other than that of epilepsy, however, such as in an allergic reaction, or sometimes in anaphylaxis. A diabetic fit will also have many of the symptoms of an epileptic, however they will seem, to all external appearences, drunk. They will be sweating, not walking straight, their speech will be slurred, their eyes will roll back in their head and they will collapse. They will generally also suffer haliosis.

If you, or someone you know is fitting often and you don't know why, see a doctor as soon as possible.

Hope this helps :D
