There are people who believe drinking urine obliges the body to address the same conditions twice and that this can stimulate the immune system. Believers will maintain most people suffer predjudices against the practice of drinking urine that are excessive or even wrong.

However, we probably have such prejudices because contemporary medical methods have looked for more reliable processes andone of our attitudes is for "cleanliness."

After the first rinsing-out portion, the rest of the urine has been filtered by the kidneys and is relatively (almost) sterile and contains things that have been in one's own body already. But urine will not remain sterile for very long outside the body.

Depending on many factors, the person's state of health or disease, the person's fluid intake throughout the day, the person's consumption of certain foods, whether the person has drunk alcohol, and many, many other variables, urine may taste a little bitter and a little salty. If a person is diabetic and "spilling" sugar into the urine, their urine may smell like rotten Oranges and taste sickeningly sweet.
