Doctor of Optometry is O.D. and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine is D.O. The old aging DOs in the AOA could help eliminate the disrepancy by changing their initials to M.D., D.O., like the younger D.O.s want. But these old D.O.s are dumb so they don't change their degree to better represent that they are indeed medical doctors.
