Normally you set up an appointment every month or 2. however, if you really want them changed you can set up an earlier appointment with your orthodontist.
If you are only getting braces, it should be your next appointment, that's when it was for me. But your dentist may be different. Btw eat like crazy before you get them as the following week will be hard!! Good luck
You should be allowed to have an MRI scan if you have wires on your teeth, such as fixed braces. However, if the braces are removable, then you may be asked to take them out before your scan. Contact your dentist or the MRI Unit where your appointment is to find out the exact regulations.
The bottom answer is not totally correct. You must wait at least a few weeks, preferably 3 months, before getting braces in order to let the gums and the bone heal properly before putting on braces. They can never get braces because they will irritate the damaged gums.
you could get trays on before you get braces on or after you get them off.

Make an appointment for your orthodontist as soon as possible and if there is pain, use your orthodontic wax until your appointment.
Usually will make a mould of your mouth top and bottom. Then a week before your appointment to get braces he will put spacers in which are little bands that go in between your teeth. A week later he will put the braces in. That's mine and my friends experiences although i didn't have any extractions so I missed that bit out. Sekhmet
No he did not have braces but he has chipped his tooth on a microphone before
No not all. People get braces even before seventh grade. It is normal to have braces.
On average, braces should cost somewhere between $5000-$8000 (before insurance if you have it). Mine cost $6000. But there may be additional costs. For example, after you get braces off you should get a retainer. If you break it it is an additional $400 for a new one. Most orthodonisists will have an appointment with you if you want and run you over this stuff and the costs. Cost is somewhat unique to each person.
No. Not unless they are doing a certain surgery before they apply the braces.
