Pau D'Arco is an ancient herbal remedy which has been used for centuries by American Indians for healing. It is the bark from a tree (Tabebuia impetiginosa) and is traditionally used by separating the inner layers of bark from the outer layer and using the inner flesh to make healing teas. The Incas called the teas 'divine bark' and credited it with many health benefits, as did the Aztecs. Today Pau D'Arco is more popular than ever and is widely recommended as a treatment for many ailments. It is especially recommended as an effective immune booster and an anti-microbial.
