I also had an ablation but may years ago. Your heart will still try to speed up thinking the electrical pathway that was ablated still exists. These spells of heart racing will gradually decrease until they no longer happen. It may take a year or so for your metabolism to relax. If you do not feel it is improving, you should call and talk to your cadiologist who can best advise you. Good luck.
