At 16 a competitive time for the 100m sprint would be 11.3-11.8 seconds at county level. But obviously that is seriously rapid.
At sports day the winner at your school is likely to have a time near 12.0-12.5 seconds.
The average time i found in my school was about 13-14 seconds.
Hope this helps.

A 12 year old's average time for the 100 meter dash, should be about 15 or 16 seconds.
Divide the 100 by 13.75 to find the metres per second speed. 100 ÷ 13.75 = 7.27 metres per second.

The average 100-meter dash time for an NFL lineman typically ranges from 12 to 15 seconds, depending on their size, speed, and athleticism. Most linemen are heavier and focus on strength rather than sprinting speed, so their times may not compare to skill position players. However, some exceptional athletes in this category can run faster, showcasing impressive speed for their size.
