A free Sample of Pliatrol ended up costing 83.95. When I complained was told that I should have read the terms which gave Pliatrol permission to send a bottle once monthly-billing 83.95.?
Unless you signed an agreement or contract with the company to
receive the product every month for a specified length of time,
then you can return the unused bottle(s), requesting a full refund
and a cancellation of any future shipments of the product. Just be
sure to keep a copy of the request and send the original by
certified mail. If they still continue sending it and billing you
for it, refuse to accept the shipment by writing "return to sender"
on the package. You can also call your local Better Business Offce
and file a complaint with them. They possibly won't be able to help
you get a refund, but they may be able to advise you of how to get
the company to stop billing and/or harrassing you. And be sure to
let the company know that you have filed a complaint with the with
the Better Business Bureau on them. In the meantime, do not send
payment for any bottle(s) you did not request. You may also be able
to file a complaint with the U.S. Postal Service if you did not
sign anything requesting a shipment of this product every month. If
they cannot provide proof that you did, then you may be able to
threaten them with a postal fraud suit. That may be enough to make
them realize it isn't worth the hassle, and leave you alone. Let
them know you will not allow them to bully or intimidate you, and
that you are prepared to fight them on this. Also, if they are
charging your credit card for this, contact your credit card
company and advise them of the situation. If they say they can't
help you with it (for what ever reason), then you do have the
option of cancelling that credit card, and getting another one.
That way, the company won't be able to keep trying to bill your
credit card for the product.
