Use sterile bandages and apply direct pressure to the area.

It can mean a number of things - protection of an open wound by covering it with a sterile gauze. Protection of the patient from further harm by removing them from the source of injury. Protection of a broken limb by immobilizing it though the use of a splint.
Some of the essentials of any first aid kit include adhesive bandages, gauze roll, sterile cotton balls, eye shield, antiseptic solutions, saline, antihistamines such as Benadryl.
If you mean bloodshot, just eyewash or drops. If you mean active bleeding, cover with a clean [sterile if you have any] white cloth, don't press as you might do further damage, and take the injured person to the ER. NO rubbing!
Clean the bite with warm soapy water. Also cover the bite with sterile bandages.
A First Aid is just the person that gives the FIRST aid. The treatment that is initially received. First aid could be just applying a bandage.
Possibly from sterile water once the water has been exposed to the air as CO2 dissolves in water therefore it would make it slightly acidic. As there are only the basics in a first aid kit that would be it
