1) Wash wound well with warm water and soap - Then dry area
2)Apply a small dab of Triple antibiotic ointment and cover with band-aid
3) Watch area for signs of infection (ex: redness, swelling, increased pain)
NOTE: Stay current on immunizations, especially Tetanus - Those with Diabetes, weaker immune systems or circulatory problems are at greater risk for infection and should be especially vigilant for signs of infection.
