A prosector is usually a Histotechnologist ( I think ) Who can perform dissection and dictation of tissues anatomical appearance, upto a certain size, that require little gross description and pathological details. A pathologist is a specialist of disease process ( such as cancer) , diagonoses the disease process by macro & micro analysis of tissue and stained tissue slides, and by correlating the clinical picture and the lab results and relays his/her findings to the appropriate surgeon/clinician.
