Depends totally on the surgery. I had two of them removed once and two months later the others, the second day after the surgery I was a lot in pain, almost couldn't think or watch TV. But the other surgery didn't bother or hurt, the second day I started eating like nothing happened. Depends totally on the surgery.

Is it normal for teeth in front of wisdom tooth pulled to be loose and super painful to touch?

It is common for the teeth in front of your extracted teeth to be painful after the extraction. It is called referred pain due to the fact that the same nerve that gives sensation to the wisdom tooth extracted goes to the teeth in front of that wisdom tooth. Now having said that, it is NOT normal for your teeth in front of your extracted teeth to be loose. This may represent some injury to the bone surrounding the loose tooth. Also, if these teeth are being moved orthodontically, they may feel loose due to widening of the space between the tooth and the bone. But this mobility may not be a problem. These teeth almost always stop hurting and feel more firm within a week or two.

How long does it take for the sore throat to go away after having your wisdom teeth extracted?

AnswerIf you wisdom teeth were way back, you might have a sore throat, because the healing is happening back there and the pain will last a few days to a week. But the sore throat can also be related to a cold that you are having at the same time.AnswerI was 30 years old (very healthy) and I didn't have a sore throat, with my wisdom teeth extraction, but did feel like I had the flu. My head, body, ears, and lymph nodes ached for 3 days afterward. Antibiotics, sleep, and a cold pack for exterior swelling/discomfort are *key*.

What can hurt when your wisdom teeth are coming in?

The wisdom teeth can in fact hurt your jaw if there is no enough room for them to grow properly in your jaw bone. Wisdom teeth have high possibility of getting impacted as a result of smaller jaw bones. One of the most common reasons is to inherit the jaw size from one parent and teeth size from another parent and if the jaw size and teeth size are in discrepancy you end up having impacted wisdom teeth. The other reason could be simply because of some changes in the pathway your wisdom teeth are growing. For getting more info please click on this link here. Dr.Benjamin Ghotbi
