This is to hold the bones in place in the right position for them to heal properly. If this isn't done, they may not match up properly and result in loss of mobility and function. Increasingly, plaster casts are being replaced in some instances with air-filled casts that use air pressure to hold the bones in place.
The surgeon re-sets your bones back to the correct position, so they can heal. The plaster cast holds the bones in place so they can 'knit' back together - and, so you can use the leg (with limited movement) while the healing takes place.
the doctors put a cast on an arm or leg to immobilize the limb so it could heal adequately.
the cast lets the broken bone stick together and it has to get used to it
they need it to be protected and so it will put your bone back in place.
Doctors put a cast on a broken arm or leg to immobilize the limb and prevent movement that could disrupt the healing process. This helps to ensure the bone sets and mends properly. Casts also protect the injured area from further injury.
I cast the fishing line into the lake. I had a cast on my leg, because I broke it. LOL i feel bad for myself
Sometimes a temporary splint is applied, but a plaster cast will immobilize the bone better and for a longer period of time.
either put a cast on or actually break your leg
You just put them on your arm and or leg.
STEP 1- Find a old sock or something to put on your arm leg or other. Then cut holes in the right places depending on if its for the arm leg or other. STEP 2- Wrap bubble wrap around you arm leg or other. Then put tape on. Get toilet or tissue paper to put on the ends STEP 3- Get a bandage and paint it either red, white, purple, pink, dark blue, light blue, green, black or orange so it looks more real if you use these colors STEP 4- Wrap the bandage around your arm leg or other. A cast, which prevents you from breaking anything further and allows the bone to repair itself. A cast is typically left on for a few months, depending on how bad the break is.
