Relative to the time it takes to do them procedures pay much more than just seeing patients in the office. When a surgeon sees you in the office he makes the same amount as the other regular medical doctors. They make their higher salaries by doing the surgery.

Given the demand, it is not surprising that the plastic surgeons who can deliver this new and improved appearance are able to charge top dollar. Surgery of any kind requires skill, but plastic surgery is especially high-pressure since if something goes wrong, the entire world will see it. The best plastic surgeons can just about guarantee that you will get the results you came for, and plastic surgery is thus seen as a good investment. It is expensive, but it is worth the cost, since it promises to improve your life. Of course, whether your life is successful requires much more than just a pretty or handsome face. And yet, for many people, that "perfect" face is something they regard as essential, so they are willing to pay a lot of money to achieve it.
