There are many reason a four year old child could be falling after walking many steps. But, first I must tell you to get this child to a really good pediatrician. Do not accept glib answers either. And don't let this problem go on for months. Demand solid answers that truly explain the child's problem and fix the prolem. See other experts if necessary. Remember money is no object when it comes to fixing children.

  • The child may have a simple ear infection or fluid infection affecting the "gyroscope" of the child's brain causing hime to be dizzy and fall.
  • The child may have a muscular disease affecting his or her muscles or nervous system.
  • The child may have a neurological problem.
  • The child could have a genetic problem.
  • The child may be lacking the problerm vitamins, minerals and proteins or his or her body is not able to absorb a certain nutrient and it affects his balance or ablity to walk properly or for any length of time.
  • The child may have a bone problem.

It the parents of this child cannot afford to take the child to many doctors and pay for diagnotistic procedures someone should take the child to the St. Jude's hospital for free care and proper diagnostics and treatment. Another place to get care after trying all avenues to find an answer is the National Institutes of Health which is a government place that will help people with mysterious diseases. Do not sluff this off. The child could worsen.
