Concentric lamellae
Concentric Lamellae -JSO
The layers of calcified matrix in bone tissue are called lamellae. These lamellae are arranged in concentric circles around central canals called Haversian canals, forming the structure known as an osteon or Haversian system.

In a bone, the osteocytes and layers of extracellular matrix, which are concentrically clustered around a central canal, form a cylinder-shaped unit called an osteon, or Haversian system. Many osteons cemented together form the substances of bone.Hope that helped!
Osseous Tissue has this arrangement.
Matrix derives from Latin "Mater" which means "mother". It was called this because the determinant, which is very central to matrix mathematics, changes when we remove columns or rows, so with simple words it's because a little matrix can be a part of a larger matrix.
The telescoping tubes of matrix that form a large part of compact bone are called "Haversian systems" or "osteons." Each osteon consists of a central canal surrounded by concentric layers of bone matrix, known as lamellae, and contains blood vessels and nerves. This structural arrangement provides strength and support to the bone while facilitating nutrient and waste exchange.
The matrix for bone is laid down in thin layers called lamellae. The lamellae are arranged in concentric patterns around tubes called osteonic canals. Between the layers of lamellae the osteocytes are placed in depressions called lacunae. This pattern of concentric circles forms a cylinder-shaped unit called the osteon.
Bone cells surround Haversian canals. Osteon (Haversian system) is the structural unity of bone. Spaces for osteocytes are called lacunae. The matrix is present in concentric rings called lamellae. Canaliculi are canals that join lacunae with the central Haversian canal (central canal)

A Poriferan typically consists of two cell layers: the outer epidermis and the inner layer of cells called choanocytes. These cells are separated by a gel-like matrix called mesohyl.
