CBI in nursing and midcal terms means "continuous bladder irrigation". A practice used after some surgeries or procedures to flush the bladder 'continuously' with usually sterile water. It has a number of purposes but for one, it helps ensure there is no accumualtion of substances that may increase bacterial load and induce infection.
