CPT, or Current Procedural Terminology, was developed by the American Medical Association (AMA) and was first published in 1966. It was created to provide a uniform language for reporting medical, surgical, and diagnostic procedures and services. The system has undergone several updates since its inception to reflect advancements in medical practice and technology.
CPT stands for College Placement Test. It is not a pass or fail test. This test is given to determine the level of math, English, and reading courses a student needs to start in.
