The LAD or Left Anterior Descending artery is an artery in the heart and when it becomes clogged it is known as the "widow-maker", people with single vessel blockages affecting the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery may be an option. The use of stents (devices to hold the artery open) are not that effective in the treatment of heart disease.
