Yes, unlike the Army who are given their first set of uniforms, Marines' have to pay for their first set of uniforms. That is what the "smart" card is for. The smart card is like a military charge card directly linked to your pay. In the Marine Corps you pay for everything.
It's worth noting that you pay for food as well. Eating for free in the military as a whole is a myth. In all branches you must sign for each meal you receive and are charged for it. It's a very small amount but you do still have to pay a certain amount to eat. The same goes for haircuts and other necessities.
Yes, unless under a form of scholarship in which it is given to them free of charge.
Officers do not.
Honor guards or those requiring dress blues as their primary uniform because of their job description do not.
All others do.
Check the military pay charts. They don't get paid a lot but housing and food is usually provided. All money they make is disposable income unless they live off base, etc
All Marines are paid the same. It depends on the pay grade (rank). During deployment if you are in a combat MOS (infantry) you will get hazardous duty pay, and other mission specific allowances.
Base Pay is what the serviceman is being paid, WITHOUT: housing pay, combat duty pay, jump pay, food allowance pay, dependent(s) pay, over-seas pay, uniform allowance pay, etc.
None! They are all paid the same based on a pay scale designated by the Federal Government. A single sergeant in the Army say with 5 years makes the exact same base pay as a single sergeant in the Marines or a Petty Officer Second Class in the Navy. The pay differs with your number of years of service, your rank and whether you are single or married.
The military insignias worn on Navy uniforms clearly define a memberâ??s pay grade, place in the chain of command, and job or area of expertise. Officers at the O-7 through O-10 pay grades wear one, two, three or four stars, respectively.
No, Marine Corps officers are issued dress blue uniforms by the government as part of their standard issue. However, they are responsible for maintaining and replacing their uniforms as needed throughout their career.
Yes, the individual soldier had charges for food taken directly from his pay. He also had to pay for his clothing and boots.
professionally, Ofcourse not, infact the sponsors pay millions of dollars to put there logos on those uniforms and clubs pay players millions of dollars to keep those players in those uniforms
