Well, that actually made many people remember what happened that day. It was actually sad to know about that. So, I guess many people was affect by this. We are really lucky that it didn't struck us. So...more than 10,000 people died because of this i think.. Again, we are the Lucky ones! :)
The majority of muslims were very affected by 9/11 because it caused people to hate Islam and view it in a negative way. It affected people who are living in a 'western' country greatly because they probably suffered a lot of hatred and racism. Islam preaches peace and clearly states no murder so the majority of muslims were upset when this happened because first of all, it was a horrible tradegy and second of all, it shamed us because we were potrayed as these evil people who believe all people who are not muslim should go to hell. People like al qaedia are evil people who will die and rot in hell.
MAJORLY! Airports/Planes now have WAY more security, many families lost loved ones, a lot of people who lived lost their jobs because they had nowhere to work. President Obama started a war with Afghanistan and this was HUGE for people. Lots of families had people departing to Afghanistan, and a lot of donation boxes were put up to help people. There are so many I can't list them all, this was just incredibly hard on everyone in the US.
It was a sign to the U.S. Government that there is a terrorist threat to us. It affected the whole world and it made not just the U.S., but the whole world realize.
