War started as another balkan war, but when the war began to take a wider scale they decided to jump in with Germany (or against the allies, for that matter) for a number of reasons:

1- To recover their losses in the Balkan

2- To fight against the British who were bothering them because of their need for oil

3- Also their long and strong hatred for Russia (and fear of their relentless) also contributed to their decision.
