Necessity mothering invention at high speed. I suppose the greatest single invention has been gunpowder, the means to kill masses of the enemy at a distance. At one time the Horse was a major factor. Generalship has always been related to use of the means available at the time, & great commanders have always been those that have used those means to best effect.

Not at all - there are more females playing the regular Battlefield series games than you might realize, and many are pretty good at it.
