The Soviets distrust the US and its allies primarily due to ideological differences, viewing capitalism as a threat to their communist system. Historical events, such as the Western intervention in the Russian Civil War and the delayed opening of a second front during World War II, further fueled suspicions. The US's nuclear arsenal and its policy of containment heightened fears of aggression, leading the Soviets to perceive the West as a potential adversary seeking to undermine their influence and security. This distrust was exacerbated by propaganda and a general atmosphere of rivalry during the Cold War.
The Allies during World War II, comprising mainly the United States, the Soviet Union, and the United Kingdom, harbored mutual distrust due to differing ideologies, geopolitical interests, and historical rivalries. The U.S. and the U.K. were capitalist democracies, while the Soviet Union was a communist state, leading to conflicting visions for post-war Europe. Additionally, past grievances and suspicions, especially concerning the Soviet Union's expansionist tendencies, heightened tensions among the Allies. This distrust persisted even as they collaborated against a common enemy, influencing post-war relations and the onset of the Cold War.
Distrust and racism led to the internment of Japanese Americans during World War 2. Even families that had lived in the United States for generations were sent to camps.
No Nuclear weapons were used during the cold war. The cold war was a stand off between soviet Russia and America, where they treated either with a lot of suspicion and distrust. However, it was not a 'War' in the literal sense of the word.

The First War of Independence was the result of growing Indian distrust of the British in 1857. Britain referred to the war as the Sepoy Mutiny.
The war caused much distrust between the countries.
There's a misunderstanding here. Concentration camps did not lead to World War 2. Countries went to war for much more down to earth reasons. In fact, liberating concentration camps didn't figure anywhere in Allied war aims.
There became a wide spread DISTRUST of the government. "Watergate" was directly involved with the war, and "Watergate" added fuel to this distrust.
What kind of misunderstanding? How honest are the two of you? Those are big questions. Without enough honesty any situation can lead to separation or divorce.
The loneliness of feeling disconnected even when around others is lonelier than distrust. Distrust may lead to a sense of separation from others, but feeling isolated and misunderstood in a crowd can be a deeper form of loneliness.

The cold war wasn't an actually war- it was a sentiment of distrust that began right after WWII, so 1945.
