It mainly had to do with people wanting to rise in power to gain more land and give their people hope. After World War I many people were left begging in the streets for food etc. in many countries just as it happened in Germany. In Germany, Hitler promised food and jobs and more. It gave the German people hope. They had no idea at the time exactly what Hilter had in mind by being the so called ' one and only race'. That's where the Holocaust comes in. Many people had NO idea what was actally happenind to people just like themselfs. It made people hopeful that this stage in life will be ok. The same thing happened in Italy and Japan and Russia. AS
