USMC Vet informed me that there is no way to have an exact tally of the US Forces who surrendered in battles or skirmishes. The Japanese and the Germans killed many troops who supposedly surrendered and some may really have been captured against their will. The death count of these troops is vague too.
Germany surrendered in both.

During World War II, approximately 200,000 American soldiers were captured and became prisoners of war (POWs). However, the number of those who officially surrendered is not precisely documented, as many soldiers were captured during battles rather than formally surrendering. The most notable event of mass surrender occurred during the fall of Bataan in 1942, where thousands of American and Filipino troops were captured by Japanese forces.

The country surrendered and demobilized their military. However many individual Japanese soldiers on islands either did not get the message of the surrender or did not believe it and continued to fight on their own for years after the war was over. The last of these Japanese soldiers finally surrendered in 1974, 29 years after the end of the war.
In the First World War, about 703,000 UK soldiers died. About 383,000 died in the Second World War.
