A very misleading answer! The truth is that it varied according to (a) the type of bomb, and (b) the type of aircraft, from 1 Blockbuster or 1 Atom bomb all the way up to hundreds of fire-bombs.

The data I'm finding is expressed in tons rather than a count. During the Blitz, England was hit with over 100 tons of explosives. One website reads that the Allies dropped around 1.9 million tons of bombs on Germany.

The answer of 100 tons is clearly wrong. That amount, and more, would have been dropped in just one bombing raid. Secondly, the question is about Britain, not just England. Scotland and Wales were heavily bombed as well as England.

How many bomb were droped in World War 2?

I have seen the figure of 7 million tons of bombs were dropped, thrown or put into artillery. I think the figure is probably higher world wide. The number of bombs is not how the military records and accounts for bombs. They go by tonnage not by each individual bomb. Trust me if you counted the individual bombs there would tens of millions of them because some air raids dropped over ten thousand bombs in one mission.

Where were the atomic bombs' aircraft crew trained?

The air force has many bases where they trained their pilots depending of the plane the pilot is assigned.
