I am not sure but I know that uniforms from World wars are not worth much less then $100 in pawn shops. I guess it just depends who you sell it to.
No old Iron sides was a ship used in the war of 1812. A British cannon ball hit the side of the ship on freshly cut replacement board. The board was strong enough to with hold the shock of the cannon ball. A sailor on the that ship called her "old Iron sides" from then on.
Do you mean, what invention utilised during the Civil War changed combat? The rifle-barrelled cannon. Or the minie-ball. The post-war invention would have been the machine-gun.

Depends upon: * what country the cannon balls are from, * if they are attached to any battle of significance, * what type of cannon they were shot from, * what year they are from
A cannon ball.
A cannon ball traveled at speeds up to and or exceeding 100 miles per hour this depended on how well the cannon was packed how much powder was charged and the degree the cannon barrel was angled many soldiers packed two balls connected by a large chain this increased the effectiveness of the cannon others where loaded with many smaller balls like buckshot in a shotgun.

The cannon would want to move backwards with the same speed as the ball wants to move forward.
The first cannon ball was made in the 3rd century BC in a place called Alexandra
When the minni-ball was shot from the cannon, it would fly like a cannon ball, though had a distinct whistle to it. When the minni- ball would hit ground, or other solid matter, it would explode and send shrapnel everywhere. In this way, one minni-ball could kill many soldiers at once. Doctors often times had to dig around in a wound to get every piece of shrapnel out, and not even then would everything be found. THe minni-ball was one of the worst weapons (in terms of how many it killed) of the Civil War.
