Mainly horses were used in World War 2. But donkeys were used in World War 1.

Soldiers would sleep in it because it was much safer.
The first use of gas in a war was used in world war one.

A lot.
These ships were not burning oil yet. They were still fueled by coal. After World War One, vessels like these were refitted for oil.
world war 2
Pretty much anyone involved in the war.
There is one connection which I can think of. Although less is heard about them with regard to World War 2, the Mideast oilfields gave the Allies a tremendous advantage over the Axis. [In World War 1 oil was of less importance because trains and ships ran on coal, aviation was in its infancy, and armies were little motorized.] The Axis powers would have seized this source of oil if they had been able, but they never got close enough to threaten it. Iraq was much closer, and a much greater threat, in a world which was even more dependent on oil than in World War 2.

Most wars are over natural resources someone wants from someone else. The Japanese wanted oil in World War 2. Hitler needed oil too so he attacked Russia and Africa. Every country in this world needs oil and not every country has oil wells. If the price of oil keeps going up and it gets scarcer someday then OIL will probably be another motivation for a war. I think it will be more about "you vs. me" like World War 1 was about.
they use fuel not oil!
