The impact of World War 2 on Soldiers?

It had a huge effect on the soldiers. The soldiers came back home and had to "push the women" back to their house work so the men could do the labor work. They also had quite a bit of money form the war and when they came back they wanted to spend it, on things for entertainment and to help their families. And because of the spending splurge it lead to the depression.

like any soldier in war many had nightmares and trouble adjusting back to normal life. The difference in WW2 was the vets didn't have alot of support like PTSD today. Many refused to talk about their experiences and did the best they could to carry on. In hindsight, they did a pretty good job of carrying on.
