So that he could blow up all buildings of military importance. He managed to blow up just about the whole city.
Germany bombed London in the Battle of Britain and captured the city of London. The citizens of London didn't get free until the Allies freed them when they came on to the shores of Normandy, France on D-day. What rubbish!! London was never captured at any time during WW2, although it was certainly very heavily bombed, causing widespread destruction and many civilian casualties. But the citizens showed a fighting spirit and took all this in their stride. Incidentally, the "City of London" is just the square mile of the financial district, and it was other areas of the capital which suffered most from the bombing.
just after world war when hit la was killed
some were adopted, others just fled with their older sibblings to such places as Australia and the Americas.
During World War II, many London children were evacuated to the countryside. When a storm came the town had to be evacuated. To create a low pressure chamber, the air is evacuated from a sturdy container.
Children were taken to a safe place during the Falkland War. They were not evacuated out of the area, they were just taken to a camp where they would be safer.

The New Millennium celebrations were held all over the world, not just in London.
No, it was too far away. They would not run the risk of the children being killed on a sunken ship. Some families did move to the US or Ireland or Switzerland. They came back either after the war or after the blitz ended. Most just went to the countryside of the United Kingdom. ___ Yes children were evacuated to Australia, and New Zealand, South Africa and Canada. This was done when the British government became worried about a German invasion.
No. The modern bridge is just a very ordinary road and pedestrian bridge in central London and is only famous because of the children's song about it. The medieval London Bridge had houses and shops on it.
I don't know much about evacuation if im honest, we've only just started it. But I know that evacuation started in July 1939 - 2 months before the start of WWII. People were persuaded to send their children into the country, it was voluntary but people were frowned upon if they didn't send their children away. Children, children below school age accompanied by mother / other responsible persons, pregnant women and blind people were evacuated. These people were evacuated for 2 reasons - because they were the future generation (no idea why blind people tbh xD) and so they didn't get in the way Sorry I couldn't be more helpful or detailed =\
