The first US draft was during the US Civil War (1861-1865); the last US draft was during the Vietnam War (1961-1975).
During WWII and Vietnam. Yes, during WWII and the Vietnam War, but to be more general, the military draft is used whenever the U.S. does not have enough voluntary recruits (meaning, when there are not enough volunteers). So, it could be argued that the military draft is used to "force" people into the army to defend their country. It has not been employed since the early 1970's.

It depends on which war you're referring to, but the Congress has the authority to instate the "draft", where people are forced to join the military. The draft was last used in Vietnam.

The draft used in Vietnam was called the Selective Service System. It was implemented to conscript eligible young men into the military, where they would be required to serve in the Vietnam War. The draft lottery was used to determine the order in which individuals would be called up for service.
Nuclear weapons were not used during the Vietnam war
I belive there were only three wars the draft was used for, the civil War, World War 2, and the Vietnam conflict. There might have also been a draft for WW1

I assume you mean "conscription". It is when a government forces the people to join the military. In the US, we usually call it "the draft", which hasn't been used since Vietnam. It was used during World War I as a way to quickly increase the size of the countries' armies.
